I’ve always found beef and mustard to be a match made in culinary heaven; this recipe combines the two in a quick stir-fry style dish, with little florets of broccoli to soak up that delicious, creamy sauce. Rice is the no-brainer side to this as the perfect sauce-carrying vehicle.

Creamy Mustard Beef Strips with Broccoli
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 500 g beef strips
- salt & pepper to taste
- 200 ml cream
- 200 ml water
- 3 tbsp dijon mustard
- 3 tbsp grainy mustard
- 2 cups broccoli florets 1 small head
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large non stick pan on high heat. Once hot, add the beef and season with a little salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan onto a plate and set aside.
- Pour the cream and water into the pan, along with the mustards, and whisk to combine. Bring to a boil for a minute, then return the beef to the pan, and add the broccoli florets. Simmer for 3-5 minutes till the broccoli is bright green, then serve immediately over white rice.
